Mr. Pagel’s background includes more than thirty years of professional experience in Information Technology. As Vice President of IT Planning & Program Office Services, he was responsible for key aspects of IT planning, from setting strategic direction to tactical planning initiatives. Mr. Pagel was also responsible for the Program Office Services functions, including Program Management standards, Project Management training and mentoring, quality standards, and metrics measurement and benchmarking, at AT&T. Mr. Pagel served as CIO of McCaw Cellular Northeast region where he was responsible for all research, development, implementation and deployment of Information Technology services. This responsibility included building a data center and data network, as well as a full suite of customer relation management systems.


Prior to joining McCaw, Mr. Pagel was the CIO for LIN Broadcasting’s Cellular division responsible for the development and management of all national (New, York, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles) cellular customer relations management systems and data centers. Prior to Joining LIN Broadcasting, Mr. Pagel provided management and information technology consulting service to many of the major cellular carriers for five years. Starting in 1982, Mr. Pagel joined the start up Advanced Mobile Phone Services (AMPS) group where, He was responsible for developing the first cellular Message Rating and Billing Systems in the United States. Prior to joining AMPS, Mr. Pagel spent twelve years in the pharmaceutical industry grooming his technology and management skills, after a one-year IT apprenticeship at AT&T Bell Laboratories.
